Misty eyes

Feeling so trivial, sitting beneath the stars,
Staring at vast infinity, abandoning the pain in her heart

 Dreaming of a magical place, grinning with misty eyes,
Cherishing the silvery moon, winking back at the fireflies

Wearing a robe of hope, bearing the cold test of time,
Deafening stark silence, freezing the voices in her mind

Crawling away from the shadows, drawing up a firm line,
Praying for more strength, hoping for a life divine

Intricacies of Life

A thought on this matter makes me realise that, to me, my life seems no better than that of a trivial micro-organism striving to survive in the fauna. The tiny being concealed in the nodes of gravely entangled submerged roots of a vast tree.The venerably aged tree providing abode to infinitesimal beings. Its umpteen branches slightly bending to kiss the surface of water with every gentle breeze. The changing season bringing in many new forms of life, fresh leaves and flowers filling the nude branches and the rain blessing all with a refreshing ambiance. The Darwin Theory gets reinforced every passing moment too, only the fittest survives, be it life in green waters or a muddy patch. Every dweller is in a rush to grab the biggest portion of the available resource,sunlight, land, power and nutrients to not just fill their stomachs but their food reserves and their pockets as well.
